{"id":2053,"date":"2003-02-28T15:29:07","date_gmt":"2003-02-28T15:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bob.ryskamp.org\/brain\/?p=2053"},"modified":"2003-02-28T15:29:07","modified_gmt":"2003-02-28T15:29:07","slug":"color-and-commerce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bob.ryskamp.org\/brain\/color-and-commerce\/","title":{"rendered":"Color and Commerce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>i&#8217;ve searched for months for an effective alternative to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pantone.com\/\">Pantone<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pantone.com\/products\/products.asp?idArea=1\">color kit<\/a>, which i can&#8217;t afford. but this morning, whilst shopping at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homedepot.com\">home depot<\/a> i picked up several amazing color guides for FREE in the paint section. sure, they don&#8217;t have the computer or printing codes on them, but they do suggest color schemes, which takes several steps out of my process.<\/p>\n<p>it got me thinking, too, how harmonious it all was. here was a situation where i received FREE color consultation in exchange for viewing suggested products. and i loved it. the experience was kind of like shopping at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\">amazon.com<\/a>, where i get free reading suggestions just for doing so on their website. i like that concept&#8211;merchants are so eager to sell me product that they give me service.<\/p>\n<p>i&#8217;ve been starting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=tim+sanders&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;oe=UTF-8\">Tim Sanders<\/a>&#8216; <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/060960922X\/qid=1046474195\/sr=8-1\/ref=sr_8_1\/103-8109484-9332614?v=glance&#038;s=books&#038;n=507846\">Love is the Killer App<\/a><\/u>, in which he cites <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;lr=&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;oe=UTF-8&#038;q=Joseph+Pine&#038;btnG=Google+Search\">Joseph Pine<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;lr=&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;oe=UTF-8&#038;q=james+gilmore+experience+economy\">James Gilmore<\/a>&#8216;s <u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0875848192\/qid=1046474378\/sr=8-1\/ref=sr_8_1\/103-8109484-9332614?v=glance&#038;s=books&#038;n=507846\">The Experience Economy<\/a><\/u>.
